An Open Letter To My Daughter: The West

My little love, I remember the first time you took steps on a trail. I wanted to hold you right there and tell you about all the wonderful adventures you will have on dirt and in the mountains, but instead I let you roam, holding back my impulse to take too many photos and distract you from what was important: Nature. 

Which is why I'm writing you this-- An introduction to the West. A travel guide of sorts, but more importantly a chance to see the landscape I hope you get to explore one day.
