Day-to-day I managed a global staff of photographers and videographers, developed and implemented a North American senior photography program and co-led SEO efforts and analytic reporting for OnTheSnow and SkiInfo. By night I worked with external departments to integrate storytelling and media strategy.

  • Led video and photography creative direction for OnTheSnow and Skiinfo, the world’s largest snowsports website.
  • Co-led OnTheSnow editorial strategy, SEO efforts and editorial calendar.
  • Led efforts with sales team to develop and produce custom video and photography packages for endemic and non-endemic partners.
  • Developed OnTheSnow YouTube channel with a viewership of 1.8 million views in 15 months on a 50k content budget.

During the height of the recession I successfully navigated a career as a freelance multimedia producer. Blending writing, photography and video skills, I designed, produced and published a wide-variety of projects for editorial publications and consumer brands.

Intern by day, innovator by night, my time at Backpacker Magazine included projects with every editorial department including writing for the front of the book, feature well and website. Managing a team of freelancers producing GPS tracks of local hikes and co-designing a series of editorial multimedia packages for Backpacker.com and Bicycling.com
